Beauty Recommendations From a True Product Junkie

I’m coming clean: My name is Brooke and I am a beauty junkie. When I got my first real makeover on my sixteenth birthday, a Pandora’s box of beauty lust was opened that has only gotten bigger and wilder over the last 14 years.  It’s true, all that money and time could have been channeled into saving battered puppies or learning a new language, but instead it went toward piles and stacks of neat little black boxes, shimmering tubes, shiny jars and bright bottles that helped me feel glamorous, even on those mornings when I wake up looking like a hungover panda, that have helped even my most shy friends re-invent themselves into sex kittens, and that captures everything fun about being a girl.

My one hope at channeling all of that passion into the greater good is to rescue those poor souls who wander aimlessly among cosmetic counters, magazines and websites,  wading through the endless colors, promises, jargon and brands looking for that one little package that will give her lips some pout, make her hair extra shiny, her skin glow or her eyes pop. I am here to tell all of you timid little dolls that a smoky eye is not only possible but simple, that there are products out there that will improve the texture of your hair and that luminous skin is within everyone’s reach with the right care.
